It All Adds Up

Website design for It All Adds Up, a pilot program that gives families who have recently experienced homelessness $1000 a month for 12 months.

context

Research has already proven Guaranteed Basic Income (GBI) effective in improving individuals’ health, financial, and employment outcomes. In 2024, Compass Family Services and Hamilton Families launched the first pilot specifically for families. A first-of-its-kind initiative measuring the impact of direct cash payments on long-term housing stability.

approach

We were asked to create a site not only making the case for GBI, but also outlining the details of the pilot and serving as a place to collect family stories and future findings. We crafted a site that was informational without being overly complex, with an approachable, family-oriented visual style.

01

02

To remind people that this pilot is ultimately about families with children, I combined illustration with POV photographs to show what’s possible.
